ANDREA BAKER

Andrea has provided business attraction and development services to both for profit and non-profit mixed use developments in the San Francisco Bay Area. Andrea is particularly adept at identifying innovative and unique business concepts and operators within the Bay Area’s diverse business community to tenant and program ground floor commercial spaces in emerging neighborhoods. She has significant experience in engaging community stakeholders, facilitating productive visioning and planning discussions, and in developing and implementing extensive neighborhood revitalization and economic development strategies that encourage and build dynamic and vibrant commercial corridors in emerging neighborhoods.  

Andrea previously worked as a Project Manager for the Mayor’s Office of Economic & Workforce Development (OEWD), and the former San Francisco Redevelopment Agency. Her experience stems from starting and managing her own businesses in the Bay Area, including Baker Foods, La Fête Catering, Made in California Shops and Gift Baskets, and Geva’s Caribbean Cuisine. She was General Manager of the Bread Workshop in Berkeley and the Director of Millberry Food Services at UCSF. She has also served on several boards including Big Brothers Big Sisters, Renaissance Entrepreneurship Center, Berkeley Arts Center, and Women’s Alliance. 

Andrea was previously awarded the National Coalition for 100 Black Women's Entrepreneurship Award, co-founded 3S Consulting Firm and currently serves on the board of the Shipyard Trust for the Arts (STAR) and the African American Shakespeare Company.

ZANE B. RHETT

Zane works as Citywide Public Space Initiative’s (CPSI) project manager. His work involves curating musical performances at the two sites - Mendell Plaza and Gene Suttle Plaza. In addition to programming at the space, Zane also works on-site and community management.
